if you are interested in being a volunteer for cheer, you may register here starting June 1st. Please note that directors will have final say as to who is a coach/team mom. Just because you register, does not mean you will be a volunteer.

Cherokee Youth Football Association -  Football Season Registration

Please note:
During your online registration session, please make sure you select the correct grade and high school district from the offerings drop down menu.

If your child is home schooled or attends a private or charter school, please select the high school district, based on the public elementary school they would currently attend.

A $350 equipment deposit check per football player is mandatory and will be collected at the time of equipment handout at If a parent or guardian does not have a check, they must pay in cash.  Equipment deposit checks or cash will be returned at the end of the season when the equipment is returned to CYFA. Your football player must be present to be fitted for equipment.  No equipment will be handed out without the child present.

Equipment Handouts July 13th and July 18th

Football Assessments July 20th-July 24th

Football practice starts July 29th

Jamboree August 15th

Opening weekend August 22nd

2026 Wildcats Competition Cheer - Fall 2026

Join the CYFA Wildcat Competition Cheerleading Team. As a member of the competition cheerleading team, your athlete will learn and perform a two and a half minute choreographed dance routine set to music that includes stunts, jumps and tumbling.  

The CYFA Wildcats will compete in up to 4 competitions all held within the Atlanta Metro Area. No overnight travel required. Cheer competitions are held on Sundays in October and November.
